About Our Organization

About Us

At The Msimbithi Foundation, we are dedicated to Empowering Futures, Transforming Communities. Founded by Tabisa Ngubo, our mission is to uplift and empower underprivileged children, women, and youth, particularly in rural communities. From our humble beginnings in 2018 with a school uniform drive, we have since expanded our efforts to focus on education, skills development, and the empowerment of women.

By equipping individuals with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need, we aim to create sustainable change that will reverberate through generations.

Our Impact Journey

Main Focus Areas

Our Work & the Sustainable Development Goals

The Msimbithi Foundation is committed to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through inclusive education and skills development initiatives that promote long-term social and economic transformation.

Education

At The Msimbithi Foundation, we believe that quality education is a fundamental human right and a powerful driver of sustainable development. Our education programs are designed to remove barriers to learning and ensure that children, regardless of their socio-economic background, have access to safe, supportive, and well-resourced learning environments.

Through our Adopt a School model, we provide holistic, long-term support to Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres and schools by:

  • Supplying school uniforms and learning materials to promote dignity and attendance
  • Implementing literacy and numeracy programs that strengthen foundational learning
  • Supporting infrastructure development to improve safety and learning conditions
  • Offering scholarships and academic support for deserving learners
  • Career awareness and access to higher learning opportunities guidance

These interventions contribute directly to improved educational outcomes, reduced inequality, and stronger community resilience.

Skills Development

Our skills development initiatives focus on empowering women and youth with practical, market-relevant skills that enable economic participation and self-sufficiency. By addressing unemployment and limited access to training, we help individuals build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to local economic growth.

Our programs include:

  • Vocational and technical skills training
  • Entrepreneurship and small business development
  • Life skills and employability training

By investing in people, we advance gender equality, promote decent work opportunities, and support inclusive economic development within underserved communities.

Improving lives, today and tomorrow

We believe that real change begins with action today. That’s why we focus on both immediate support and long-term solutions that uplift individuals, families, and communities. Whether it’s providing food and shelter, supporting mental health, or investing in education and sustainability, our programs are designed to improve quality of life now while building a foundation for a brighter, more resilient future for generations to come.
